An Affirming and Candid Ally
Are you seeking emotional healing and personal growth? Are you experiencing sadness, disinterest, worry, fear, confusion, and/or anger? As your therapist, I'll support you with gaining insight into your emotions and beliefs, improving your relationships with self and others, and finding renewed purpose and meaning in life.
I earned a MA in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in 2007 and completed internship hours by working with Transitional Age Youth and LGBTQIA+ clients. Since then, I've supported clients of various backgrounds with a range of mild to severe mental health problems in private practice and community-based settings.
I offer in-person therapy sessions for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During our initial sessions, you and I will clarify your desired results for therapy. Sessions typically occur once per week (same day and time), if possible. The frequency and duration of our work together will be based on progress toward your therapeutic goals.
I conceptualize therapy from a psychodynamic perspective, but I often use other therapeutic tools to meet the unique needs of each client. I'll support you with processing the impact of life events, identifying automatic reactions that are counterproductive, considering alternative responses, accessing resources, and intentionally living in alignment with your therapeutic goals.
